Program Specialist, Digital Inclusion
 
DESCRIPTION
The Program Specialist- Digital Inclusion provides support to bridge the digital divide for CHA’s residents, supports CHA’s Digital Resources Centers (i.e., computer labs), and serves as a point of contact for agencies who are contracted to oversee the Digital Resource Centers (DRC).
 
SUMMARY OF PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Provides support for CHA’s digital inclusion services to increase awareness of low-cost internet services, devices, and digital skills training; and programming and activities to increase technology literacy for residents.
• Works with the Digital Resource Centers’ monitors and contracted agencies in gathering and reviewing data for discrepancies and submission to Manager.
• Assists with scheduling, creating agenda items, and facilitating monthly meetings with DRC Managers’ and DRC Monitors.
• Collaborates with internal/external partners to identify training needs for residents and monitors. Troubleshoots with partners when issues with programming exists.
• Develops training materials, satisfaction surveys and facilitates trainings. Conducts one on-one training sessions and workshops for residents as necessary.
• Attends meetings as directed on behalf of Manager.
• Implements digital inclusion initiatives including, but not limited to, ConnectHomeUSA, PCs for People, Affordable Connectivity Program, among others.
• Presents on CHA’s digital inclusion programming and resources to various stakeholders.
• Handles multiple projects simultaneously and responds to change in a positive manner.
• May be asked to handle tasks outside of job description to meet broader goals of CHA and Resident Services.
• This position requires working hours outside of CHA's established hours of 8:30a-5p Monday-Friday.
• This position has the option of working remotely up to two days per week following successful probationary period.

 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Academic Level: Bachelors
  • Industry Experience: Other industries not listed
 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), with up to two (2) years of transferrable work experience with some completed college courses. The position requires strong knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Power Point and Excel) and the ability to work with spreadsheets and other sources of large amounts of data and internal data systems, as well as teach basic computer functions to all age groups. Requires work within CHA’s properties with external partners and residents; a valid Driver's License is required. Must possess strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills. Must be energetic, focused, and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Salary Range: $55,000 – 60,000
